Quick sketch from the live draw event that I attended Saturday night, this was a 5 min pose, the idea is to get best out of a short pose in a compressed amount of time without too much thinking.

That's a very good 5 min sketch, and so ironic that you posted this today. Last night I went to a figure drawing group and had to draw a series of 5 min poses at the start of the session. I found it very difficult! But, by the 5th pose, I was focusing very intently on the most important shapes and getting them down first, and really discovering what lines in the body defined the person most... It was a good experience for any artist, I think. You make it look easy here, but I know how difficult it is! Great job!

Thanks Katherine, I usually try to put all my attention on the big shapes and the general directions of the outlines, simplification is the key with these!
