I used hard pastels in this one for the overall flesh tones and for the darks its vine charcoal mostly, I could've used black or darker pastels instead but I get more fluidity with the charcoal, on a different note it seems that the 'wire'work in my apt is coming to an end and I should proceed having full electricity as usual, the (almost) dark ages should be over soon.

This week I have to endure a wiring (electrical) installation in my apartment so getting a good light's been difficult, yet I've setup my mobile reflector so I can get a decent light on the drawing, since I'm not a big fan of working in the dark and since this is Visual arts I still have to See what I'm actually drawing or painting.

This is one of my quick sketches where I usually try to capture the general shape of the figure since these are very short poses and there's just no time to develop the drawing any further, not in a 10 min interval.

Here's another portrait on brown paper that I did today, I was forcing myself not to go into detail on the dark side of the face, sometimes that's not an easy thing to do.
