"Kathy" 6x8 Female Portrait figure Pastel drawing/painting on paper

6.5" x 8" pastel on paper

Ok, so apparently this is a crossbreed between a drawing and a painting, sometimes I have to use more tools to achieve what I want, in this case these are the 'ingredients' used:
Pastel sticks (non soft)
General's Charcoal Pencil (for fine tuning the shapes)
Pan Pastel (mostly for larger masses)
Canson pastel paper (toned)
My hand.

Also my blog is featured among the top drawing blogs on Online Schools.org.

Excellent sense of light, shadow and depth. It's a really powerful image! I love that you included your hand in your list of tools, most people often leave that out but really, it is the most essential of all tools! ;)
